Hillside Cabin #4

Great cabin. Had water pressure issue and a few minor challenges but overall a nice place to stay.

Overall this cabin has great potential however it is not maintained well. Spent first day with no Internet/wifi, so couldn't use the television amenity. No email response from owner to correct it for over 24 hrs Finally got through by phone. He did come out and fix it. The fire pit had 2 ft deep of ash and trash. The owner gave us a shovel and we shoveled all the ash and trash out in order to use it. The BBQ pit was full of ash. Had to shovel it out to use it. The BBQ pit has a large rusted hole in the bottom of the pit. Had to repair it in order to use it. The side door knob and lock would not latch, close, or lock. The door knob is loose, the plate was improperly installed. We had to repair and install a plate on the door frame in order to lock the door. Both rocking chairs on the back deck are broke and unusable. Back deck table is unstable and wobbly. Inside, for a cabin that sleeps 10, there is no table to eat at or gather. On rainy or cold days there needs to be a table to sit at inside for up to 10 people. The cabin has 2 small wobbly stools to sit at behind the door at the counter- that is all. We had to get a small foldable table so our small group could sit to eat inside on this chilly rainy weekend.The murphy bed that pulls out from the wall behind the loft ladder was unstable and broke. The mattress was full of yellow and brown stains. No clean linens for it. Had pillows but no pillow cases. Positives- clean bathrooms, stocked kitchen, and great location.

we had 7 adults stay 2 nights. pictures were a little off. we went thinking there were 2 big beds and 1 set of bunks but it was 1 big bed and 2 sets of bunks. the couch does not pull out for another bed but we did find an air mattress in the kitchen cabinet. Wish there was an available bed description in the listing. overall we had a great time!

overall we had a great stay. everything was as expected. Justin was great to communicate with. The mattress on the murphy pull out bed on the wall was pretty stained so we did not feel comfortable using it. We brought a blow up air mattress so that saved us. They did have a blow up mattress there but it wouldn't hold air. we would go back if we planed another float trip to the black river.

It was nice. The only thing it needs is a coffee table.
